Scouting Event

Scouting Event fees are 2% of the event registration cost other than Boy Scout Summer Camp, with Boy Scout Summer Camp being 1%. ALL software features are included in this price.

  • If your event is free then there are no Scouting Event fees! Your event has access to the full set of reports, online check-in, class scheduling, merit badges, email communications, and other features to run your event.

  • If your event charges $10 per person then the Scouting Event fees are 20 cents per person. There is no minimum registration fee.

  • If your event is a Boy Scout Summer Camp that charges $300 per person then the Scouting Event fees are $3.00 per person. There is no registration maximum fee.


Scouting Event has no monthly or yearly fees, nor are there restrictions on things such as email usage, number of users, or the number of events you can run. There is no setup fee, but there is a small training fee which is determined by expenses required for an on-site training engagement which ensures a successful launch for your council.

Your council must have its own payment processing account and all payments are deposited directly into your account - Black Pug Software does not hold your money and there is no wait to receive it. Payment processing fees are not included in Scouting Event fees and are between your council and its payment processor.

Scouting Event supports three payment processing options:

  • Forte Payment Systems (https://www.forte.net)
  • Authorize.net (https://www.authorize.net)


For cancelled registrations, you will be credited with all Scouting Event fees minus 2% of any customer cancellation fees you charge. For a $100 event where you charge a $10 cancellation fee, $2.00 was your original Scouting Event fee but $1.80 is refunded to you after the cancellation. If you charge no cancellation fee to your customer then 100% of your Scouting Event fee is returned.

Email and telephone support is available free of charge.

Forms Online

Forms Online is included free for Scouting Event customers. It cannot be purchased separately.

Camp Reservation

Camp Reservation fees are 2% of the facility reservation cost. ALL software features are included in this price.

  • If your tent sites are free there there are no Camp Reservation fees! Your event has access to the full set of reports, email communications, and other features to manage your camp rentals.
  • If your Baden-Powell cabin costs $100 per weekend, then the Camp Reservation fee is $2 for that cabin for the weekend.

CouncilSite

CouncilSite fees are monthly fees based on council size:

  • 100 level councils - $250 per month
  • 200 level councils - $200 per month
  • 300 level councils - $150 per month
  • 400 level councils - $100 per month
  • 500 level councils - $100 per month


There is no setup charge, nor are there limits on the number pages, users, storage, or other parameters. Training is phone-based and free.
